Has anyone else been asked to take part in a trial in a couple of weeks, using a smartphone app?

    Hi Libra10

I had an email a couple of weeks ago, asking for volunteers, and replied to say yes, as I've been on a break since end of July.
I had a confirmation email yesterday to say I've been accepted.
    It looks quite exciting :rotfl:

    Hi folks!
A question for you.....have any of you received emails from TNS about you changing your boxes last collection time when you haven't done so? I've had an email which says the following......
    "Dear Panellist,
You have recently updated the Last Collection Time for postbox ID ******* M-F to 18:00:00, however Royal Mail have the collection time listed as 17:15:00
Please can you re-check the last collection plates of the above postbox and confirm the Collection Time that is displayed on the post box......."
Any ideas before I email them back telling them nothing has changed?
    Thank you,
    C x
I had a phone call asking to confirm the collection time of a box I regularly use - maybe someone else had changed the time. I know there is another panellist living within view of the box as I had to post an item to them once.;)

When they emailed me regarding the times, they asked for a photo

Yes, I've had it. I wondered if it was another panellist using the same box.
I just email to tell them what the box really says, and a couple of times I've been asked to send photos of the posting times.

I got a couple of these emails last month I think. The first time I got an email I thought perhaps I had clicked something accidentally. After the second email I thought I must be getting forgetful! Anyway I just replied to both emails to say that I hadn't changed anything as of course I hadn't meant and couldn't recall doing so. Haven't seen posts here about this I feel reassured that this is a glitch on TNS' side!
I had the same thing the last time I was on the survey. I also just replied I hasn't changed anything and never heard any more.

I thought I was going mad because I really couldn't remember changing any of the last collection times since first nominating my post boxes at the beginning. I've had a couple of these emails and hated the thought of doing something wrong, at least twice, with absolutely no recollection of doing so, or even going into the "manage my posting methods" part of the online system!
After seeing all your replies, like Shami, I too feel reassured that there must be a glitch in the system somewhere or maybe a nearby fellow poster may have changed their details. I'm not going crazy just yet then!!
I'll reply to them saying nothing has changed, re-confirm the times and send a picture of the plate.
Thank you to everyone for your help and input.
    Happy posting!! ;)

Today I received a large envelope containing a SMART but it did not have any postage paid on it. I didn't have to pay for the postage but I wonder how Royal Mail actually delivered a letter without postage paid?!?

Now for the serious answer :D
Unpaid items get missed,in real terms once it hits deliveries its more costly to return and charge than deliver.
Charge items that are missed should be returned to revenue protection to then be charged and returned to the delivery office to card etc.
  • I am within my last 4 weeks and today received a letter from the publisher of one of the magazines I receive through the trial. It informed me that my subscription was coming to an end. The typeface of my address wasn't the same as usual for test items and no R number or reference. I've shredded it.

I have received a cube this morning which has been squashed because the foam insert has just been stood up inside instead of using to stabilise the bottom of the cube. Luckily the sellotape used to seal had stopped the contents coming out otherwise I would probably be off the panel. I have decided to email TNS as thisposter obviously doesn't seem to know what the survey is trying to achieve,
Everything was wet today as well, as the poor postie got caught in a very heavy shower & he was still wearing shorts! Nice pair of legs but ...

Glad to say that I've just got my invite back on to the panel. It's been a long 6 months!
