But have a quick question, my postbox is at the bottom of the street, so I post letters the night before, as the last collection time (only collection time) is 9am. I tried to enter the details but the site keeps asking me to recheck the post day/time, is there no provision for technically posting the day before, but letter still being collected on correct day? (hope this makes sense to someone!)SallySunshine wrote: »Everhopeful,
Why don't you enter the posting time as the correct day but before the last /only collection time.
If you are posting the night before, in effect there is no collection until the next morning, so by entering e.g. 8a.m. you are not cheating.
I too am in training and want to do everything by the book, but there are workarounds.
Not quite. The box says the last guaranteed time is 9am. it could be cleared right up to that evening.0 -
And again received a Jiffy bag yesterday containing the cardboard insert,
a4 sheets of paper, smart card. However was received as flat as a pan cake.
No attempt to put the sheets of paper in the insert.0 -

Oh not the jiffy bag debate again please!
They have said:
It is sufficent enough to have the SMART by the side of the cardboard insert inside the once folded paper.0 -

I have spoken to the helpline and they are now going to send out the jiffy bags with the paper already inserted into the cardboard inserts as some panel members are getting confused. Sorry if this subject is becoming a bore but thats life.
Obviously there is no need to put the smart inside the insert.0 -

I am not confused ty. The guidance they gave me when I contacted them about this saga in September is this: It is sufficient enough to have the SMART by the side of the cardboard insert inside the once folded paper.0 -

I'm not sure how this helps. Presumably, they're not going to fold the paper enough to make the cardboard insert the maximum height, as that means the weekly sending pack would be too thick to go through the letter box. I'd imagine they are going to fold it just the once to put inside the insert, and then the panellists will leave it at that. Might not be 'flat as a pancake' but still wouldn't make it a proper jiffy, as someone pointed out earlier.
Personally, I don't get all the hoo-ha about it all. Guidelines does not say we have to put it inside the insert, nor about making the jiffy bag as thick as possible. Why do people get all annoyed about it? Obviously most panellists do not come here to get further clarification! It's down to TNS to make it clear in the Training Pack and FAQs etc.0 -
So does everyone get a diary and a presentation pack of stamps for Christmas? I don't have anything yet!Comper and general cheapskate0
