Does anyone know, if it's possible to remove my address from their door to door sales list?
As they are knocking on my door every 2 weeks, wanting me to change back to them again, I tried calling them, but No luck...:(
Many Thanks

Each time they call, kidnap the salesmen and put him in your garage/loft/basement, sooner or later they're run out of irritating salesmen. The money, Dave...0 -

Do you have a notice on your door which says you do not buy at the door? I know it doesn't necessarily stop a salesperson but you can point to it. Tell the person you do not want their visit. Keep a note of exactly when they come to your door.
Don't phone the company: you've tried it and it didn't work. Instead write and say that you consider the behaviour harassment (quote the days and times of the visits) and that they should prevent their sales personnel calling. Personally I wouldn't bother to put a stamp on the envelope - address the envelope to the Sales department and they will want to receive it.
I wouldn't hold out a great deal of hope for it - but it might be worth a try!0 -

We've got one of those notices but I don't think one salesperson has taken the slightest bit of notice of it yet!!!
I just don't answer the door. If they ignore the card then tough as far as I'm concerned - they can stand there!!! If I do answer the door, I always let the dog out. He doesn't bite but is rather noisy so I can't hear them anyway and can just point to the notice on the door.
(Shhhh!!! Don't tell anyone I said that though as refusing to answer the door can get very negative reactions on this site!!! lol)
Seriously though, perhaps you could put a note addressed to any southern electric salesmen who choose to call and then just don't answer?0 -

We live in a no cold calling area, which has worked, AFAIK it's something to do with the parish council, so if you're blighted by cold callers it might be somethig to lobby for.The money, Dave...0 -

Why defraud Royal Mail because you have a problem with Southern ElectricHere I go again on my own....0 -
Littlevoice's advice is best. If you can rememebr the time & dates of the callers, add them into your letter so you can demonstate the pattern of harrasment. If they fail to stop their cold callers then you can take enforcement action against them. In theory at least - depends on what you really want to do.....
Wonder how their PR department would feel about getting an ASBO?From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!0 -
Send a letter to SE's Cheif Executive, quoting the 1997 Protection from Harassment, and stating any further visits from them will be reported as breach of this law to the Police."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Another alternative if you can be bothered is to invite the salesperson in, offer them some tea, get them to sit down, ask lots of questions about the service and sound genuinely interested, should take at least half an hour, then at the end of it explain that you have simply been wasting their time as they have been doing to you. You won't see them again as they will have wasted a load of time depriving themselves of commision.0
