Hi all just wondering if anyone has attempted cornelli lace on cakes? If so any tips please?

I do this all the time if my base icing cracks. It is so easy to do. Just let your hand wander as you pipe with a thin nozzle. no set design for me, just meandering all over the top and sides of the cake. I have done a defined pattern a couple of times, ok so few wonky bits but over all not too bad.
If you are not sure, practise a bit on some greaseproof paper and see how you can control the icing bag and get the icing to flow evenly.0
