I received my new payment schedule and standing order instruction form through the post yesterday and it made for some interesting reading...

The last letter I had said they had assessed me for £30 a week (which is what I was expecting) but the schedule is slightly different...

I have to pay 1 month at £150.02 and then £128.18 ongoing after that. However the schedule shows that they are reducing my payments by £40 a month as I've apparently overpaid - so I am only down to pay £110.02 and £88.18.

They've never mentioned an overpayment before (it's always been arrrears until now!)

Is it best to contact them to find out what's going on? Or should I just send the SO form to my bank?

If I just submit the form without phoning them - I plan to put the £40 difference a month in a seperate account (just in case they ask for it back later).

And there was me thinking I was the only one that got payment schedules, best to check, you may find the new schedule starts before the old one finishes.

My new assessment liability is from 11th March 2013 and I've been paying £130 a month over the phone every time I got paid until the CSA sent the schedule out. So I'm pretty up to date with my payments..

Before that I had a nil assessment as I was only receiving £4.08 JSA a week (partner worked 16 hours) so there is no outstanding schedule..
