NPower Again!!!
Options
After making the massive mistake of switching to NPower, whose motto should be "If we can !!!! it up we will !!!! it up",I not only saw sense but got in quick enough to stop the Direct Debits that would have me going down the well-worn,"6 months to get my own money back" thing so beloved of so many before they actually got their hands on any of it.
Being a veteran of this shambles of a company I was fully expecting my final statements to be confusing and just plain wrong as I've come to expect from everyone's favorite cartel member, sorry I do of course mean energy supplier. And of course in this regard if no other they've proved consistent and reliable. Not 1 but 3 final Bills, all from meter reading supplied by myself.Electricity,£105.55,on page 1 at least, page 3 shows the "total electricity charge for this period" to be £83.12,excellent.Gas,despite the figures on the bill showing zero usage since March when I signed up...............£140.38,thankfully that was on page 1,by page 3 it's down to £34.83.Ah,but here's the balance from the previous bill added,£105.55.They appear to have added the electric bill to the gas one or something and there was no "previous bill" but maybe I'm being picky here.
Finally, but by no means least,ANOTHER bill, these all received the same day incidentally. This one for £22 and an amended one usefully stating that it's for "Energy".Amended from what NPower?
I feel for NPower's call centre staff I really do.Invariably they're very polite and helpful people struggling to explain to myself and no doubt others why this company makes so many errors and dosn't appear to be able to function in any way that could be construed as "properly".
Payment was due 3 days ago but I was enjoying my holiday when the 3 envelopes with the dreaded logo hit my mat and I deliberately left them unopened until it was time to go back to work not wanting anger at other people's stupidity to spoil my generally Zen-like demeanour while the Sun was out.
I'll call my old Chums at NPower's call centre on Monday, calmly and politely get this sorted, pay what I owe,as opposed to what they appear to want to screw me for, then good effing riddance to them.
NPower,don't people,just don't.
