Parking Eye ... playing hard ball?

Firstly Hi to everyone ... Secondly been a 'reader' rather than a poster for a while and the advice I've seen has been a real boost but now I think I need some serious 1-to-1 advice please ...
I got an invoice from PE in June for being over 2 hours in a free 2-hour car park I use once a week (Doctor's, Boots, shops ... a simple oversight).
Read MSE (and Pepipoo) and decided on the 'ignore' route .. and to a 2nd ... and a 3rd invoice ...
Their 4th came registered (which I unwittingly signed for) and it was the 'Letter Before Action' ... I couldn't play the "I never received anything" card so read hundreds of pages before using a template letter (BUT amending it to MY situation) asking for breakdown of losses, etc., "or they could simply drop the matter" (& ALL written in the third person) and sent it with a Proof of Postage.
Today I got a 6-page response noting that I was "versed in Practice Direction" blather, loads of legal-ese and them basically sticking to their guns but now I'll admit I'm out of my depth ... :(
All documents are scanned (but not all have my details blanked out) but was just wondering if anyone could help me fight my corner as, through reading other threads on here, the principle has made me determined not to give them a penny.
Any advice please? (Either public or PM; not sure how it works)
Thanks in advance ...

P.S. I'm in England BTW

I am a little confused with this, you mention multiple invoices, is this 1 or more fake ticket? - thanks
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

One invoice (which I ignored), then a 2nd request for money, then a third ... then the 'LBA' ... (all for the same incident)

You now rebut what they say, every word. Tell them you are NOT 'versed' at all in the Practice Direction but have been forced to waste hours reading up on it because they have failed to alert you to your legal position in the LBA, you are not liable, their Notices have been non-compliant (and late?) and there was no loss whatsoever so there is no case to answer.

Same advice as on post #14 there. Answer every point they made, including legal cases (read them). Make your case one that they do not decide to take to court. See also these threads:

And complain to the organ-grinder about the monkey (PPC) as per the other link successes I have shown on Beaman8507's thread. It has to be done!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
