Oh I wish they hadn't put Lancashire as an option as some could argue Southport is in Lancashire eg http://www.countryfile.com/days-out/southport-lancashire
It is called "Queen of the Lancashire Riviera" rather than "Queen of the Merseyside Riviera"
I'm torn here as to what to post as the answer
It has a Preston postcode too and Preston is 100% Lancashire

It's only a few miles from where I live and I know a few Southporters and if I said they were Scousers rather than Lancastrians they'd probably punch me

I've gone for Lancashire although people from southport do have a scouse accent.....I nearly got a punch for saying that to someone! Lol
