Citibank Ireland

Last month I started a thread regarding my suparannuation from NZ paid through Citibank Ireland to my bank here in England.
This month the same problem, so a phone call to Datacom NZ to ask why the late payments, again after no joy with Citibank, Public Relations Office.
After 30 minutes to NZ, here is the problem...money leaves NZ on Tuesday their time (Monday night over here) Citibank gets it Tuesday morning here. it should be in my bank account Wednesday morning.
Guess where my money is still sitting, yep over in Ireland and still not paid by BAC transfer to Natwest..
Apparently I am not the only superannuitant over here with the problem from the conversation I had with NZ House London this morning. I rang NZ DEF Office and spoke to the paymaster, as they also get their salaries paid the same way. He was sending an email asking why the late payment from Citibank..
Looks like they need our money nore in Ireland than what we need it.
Oh the fellow in the Public Relations Office at Citibank was not a happy chappy when I told him I was contacting New Zealand Government Superannuation Scheme to let them know what is happening. There is no problem with the transfer from Wellington to Dublin, all this has been checked. It's been a long day.

Not familiar with any of this problem and it's not really my kinda thing - But could you link to your original thread about this issue or even better copy this post as a reply to it? People who were interested in that one will likely be interested in the update and they may be subscribed to/still check the original thread but wont know to look for this one.0

This morning I logged on and guess what, the money is sitting in my bank account. Of course there is variation on the amount paid, allowing for the conversion rates from NZ Dollars, to Euros and then to Sterling. Gee I am so lucky to be contributing to Irish economy, or is that Citibank coffers?
Oh before anyone gets too excited I do have to pay £15.00 for the pleasure of these of thes transactions...yep taken out by Citibank before they transfer the money across.
Money makes the world go around......
Let's see what happens next month.
Caladan I can't for the life find the original thread, otherwise I would link as you have suggested. This is why I made this one an easy title.
I haven't worked out the costs of the phone calls I made yesterday. it is amazing how if you get past the Customer Services at Citibank and go higher up the totem how you do get some acrion. Maybe NZ DEF gave Citibank a bump.0
