Hi,

I just received my egg money card which is registered at my home address, currently i am living at student accomodation. There are 2 address in the change address option, permanent address and corresponding address. The problem is

1) if I use it online, say on paypal, which address should i put as billing address?

2) if I change my permanent address, will they move my credit file to my student accomodation?

I would have thought that your correspondence address would be your billing address - or at least that sounds logical to me, I don't know for a fact. You might be best sending a secure message to egg and asking them, and keeping a copy of the reply, then at least you have it from he horse's mouth as it were.

As Mozette suggests, it is best to check with Egg directly. However it may be the case that you can use either for the billing address. When I was at uni I had my home and my uni addresses both linked to my Barclaycard, and I could use either as my billing address (handy for those places that only allow you to ship to the billing address, and yet sometimes you will want to deliver home, and sometimes to uni). It may well be that both of the addresses you tell Egg about will be linked to the account in this way, and you can use either as a billing address.

Hi, I have checked with Egg money today.

They say the billing address should be the permanent address, it is the only address that is hold in their Credit card system.

This doesn't make sence, your credit file is a combination of information held by credit references agencys, any address you live at can be on these files (and occasionally ones you haven't!) but nothing is 'moved' ... ?
