TESCO Club Card statement !!!!

:hello: On Wednesday the 6th of June I have received my Club Card Statement :j . I was very pleased to see additional coupons for extra points were also included. However, my delight was short lived when I looked at the valid date for the first coupon.
For an extra 300 points, spend £20.00, between the 14th of May up till the 3rd of June...!!!???? But I received the statement after the expiry date. I would dread to think how much I have spent over this period of time & know for sure it was more than £20.00 !!! (I do have 2 children and partner who eat me out of house & home…
) So, I phoned the helpline, who were unable to help & basically blamed Royal Mail. I even went in the Tesco branch where I do ALL my shopping, & was told that I was not the first person to query this. So I sent an email to their Customer Service, this was their reply:
“I'm really sorry that you were unable to use your eCoupon as the date had expired. I understand how disappointing this must have been.
Our Marketing Team works hard to send varied product coupons that will appeal to most customers with each mailing. Usually all our coupons are checked very carefully, but it seems that we got things wrong this time and we apologise for that. Our focus remains on customer satisfaction with their overall shopping experience.
future mailings. I've passed your comments to our Marketing Team and we'll all do our best to make sure this will not happen again.
Unfortunately, we're unable to extend the date on this for you. However, there will be future promotions sent to you and I am confident you will be able to make use of these. “
It may seem petty for 300 points, but it all helps as I am saving all my points towards xmas. I was caught out last year by the farepak fiasco, for which I am still paying for now !!! :santa2:
Has any one else had the same problem???? or does anyone know what I should do next, any advice would be appreciated. (Sorry if this message is in the wrong place, i am not very good at this sort of thing).

If I was you I would complain again to Tesco customer services on the telephone. They are normally very happy to help, in my experience.Total Original Debt: £30404.24

Why, as a matter of policy, do you post this sort of post in the NEW thread (which is the last place the newbie will look for it) instead of sending them a private message AND/OR posting it in the original thread and making a COPY of their thread in the correct forum?
I'd just like to know as I obviously think that the current policy makes no sense.
The post in the NEW thread is no use to any other reader of the thread either - they don't need to know that it was originally posted in the wrong place.
Al Mac's comment, I think, confirms my viewpoint on this.
(BTW I have e-mailed a copy of this post to abuse@.... but I think it needed posting here too).0 -

Ive just had one with same problem, but when I read the smallprint on the back it gave an end date well in to August. I went online and it accepted it fine - it appers the dates on the front are wrong but the date on the back is right.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
