MBNA rejected PPI

Options
Hi there,

Firstly, thanks to all the advisers on this website because of which i could apply for my claims.

Hope some one can help me with my MBNA claim.

Although my accounts are settled in 2010, I am pretty sure that i had PPI on both of my Cards (MBNA & Virgin). So, I have applied for PPI and SAR on my MBNA account in July 2013 and i have received SAR couple of days ago and PPI rejection letter today (which i assume is standard templete that is sent by MBNA to most).

What i can see on my Credit card agreement (which was sent in SAR ) is that there is no tick on '' payment protection cover'' but when i thoroughly went through all the paper work (call notes of MBNA e.t.c) i found a note written as '' PPC SOLD ECG VERB DISC'' & on the additional comments page as '' CRM: PPC STANDARD Solicited''

Now my question is
1. Is this PPC mentioned is same as payment protection cover ?

If it is.. then god knows what investigation the MBNA person has done and responded me with a rejection letter.

Can someone please advice me what my next step should be...
Write to MBNA again or Write to FOS ?

Thanks

    Probably.

Why what do you think those remarks mean?

''CRM: PPC STANDARD Solicited'' might mean 'this account has been flagged to receive our standard PPI sales letters'. ''PPC SOLD ECG VERB DISC'' might mean 'went through the PPI sales script on phone'.

Or something else entirely. There might be some MBNA insider willing to spill the beans. Otherwise you'll have to ask MBNA for clarification.
