Massive overpayment child credits issues

I've had a bill for £8,800, its from April 2012 to now, I think?

They have dismissed any proof they had of child care and nursery bill's etc,

They have said I owe 8.8 thousand, and have asked me to provide bills and proof of the money I pay for child care,

My issue is I know we owe something, as I stupidly neglected to update mine and my partners income last April but that's 2013,

I've just sent off all the receipts from child care, ]

What happens now with regards to the review?

And how long does it take?

If you sent of copies of original bills, and kept copy of them for your own records sit tight and wait.

They will calculate the shortfall, if there is one, and write to you.

If you owe them you need to repay it back and depending on your circumstances now will decide how high or low that amount will be.

I had a review it took about 4 weeks. I called to make sure the lady had received my paperwork. She rang me to see what my invoices didnt match what i claimed and if she was missing something. She ammended my claim and sent me a closing letter. She was really lovely and helped me work out my ongoing payments to make sure they are right for next year she did say reviews are more common now and selected at random.

I am paying back £190 a month for 10 months no penalty and i didnt appeal for longer as i did not then want to provide a breakdown and proof of all my incomings and outgoings
