Edinburgh Military Tattoo - Disabled pick-up

Hi, I have to pick up someone from the Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle 30 minutes after the Tattoo finishes. I will be parked beforehand at Castle Terrace on the south side of the castle.

I have the disabled pass for car access (comes with the disabled seat ticket).

Can anyone advise which route to take so I can access the Esplanade when allowed to do so by the Police to pick up a disabled person?

Now sorted. 40 to 50 minutes after the end of the event, the advice from the Tattoo office is to make way to the Esplanade to pick up. The route you take is up to you, and if the barriers are still up, you will be diverted elsewhere in Edinburgh and have to make your own way back to the barriers at High Street/Lawnmarket.
The disabled pass is only required for dropping off a disabled person.
