Hi,

I've just received a letter today from Npower reading (Your First Electricity statement) However I am actually with British Gas.

I'm using pre-payment meters and they were with Npower when I moved but got them changed straight away to British Gas.

Just given Npower a call and they confirmed my main supplies for both Gas and Electricity are in fact with British Gas and they will close both my Npower accounts .. however I'm just a little panicked now as at the end of the call the guy said I will receive a letter soon to say that my accounts have been closed and if there is any debt or credit on the accounts I will need to call them .. but why would there be if I have been with British Gas??:huh:

depends on the transfer, when you moved in you were with npower until the change over.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Well it wasn't that long about 2-3 weeks was using temporary elec and gas keys. There was also a debt from previous tenants but this was cleared straight away.

It typically takes 4-6 weeks to switch supplier. ;)

The nPower statement will relate to the period you were on supply by nPower.

:p Thank you, this does make sense. I am still waiting for the letter to confirm closure of accounts.
