Well I went for a run yesterday and I'm getting quicker, I was running 3 Km in 25 minutes and I'm now down to 21 but I did not want to wake up this morning.
I also won £5 on a scratch card that I bought on a whim
so technically £4.
I'm up to week 7 on the 52 week saving challenge as I has the change on me yesterday so that's £28 in the little red pot.
And tonight its tennis on the free courts so I better be ready to go on time or we will loose all the daylight. Do they make glow in the dark tennis balls?Sealed Pot 7 (No. 296 )

Hi Summertea,
Just letting you know that I've subscribed and looking forward to seeing how you get on with your saving challenges. Persevere with eBay, it does become addictive and even selling things for small amounts will add up over time.
Good luck!

I used unfamiliar muscles in tennis yesterday and they are twittering at me now.
I haven't been paid which is odd I was expecting the money to be in the bank this morning. Presumably it will be in by the end of September as I have already had the payslip.
Off to see an art house film called "The Sea" this evening and splashing out on a bit of chicken from Nando's

Ah Nando's was so good, now I Have to go back to being good and not eating out and not eating so many biscuits.
I'm very tired today its being a long week, its rounders tonight but that's more social than aerobic plus its the last one as its getting far too dark to play.
I have 3 items on E**y at the moment and at least one of them is popular so I may have a little more cash to add to my pots soon
I'm about 2 weeks behind with my spending diary so that's going to be slightly off as I never quite remember all the money I spend. Just need to sit down and sort it back out really.
Also just been volunteered to organise the work Christmas party, eep! no idea how to do that or what to do/who to invite. Never mind at least I already have half my Christmas presents and all my wrapping paper.

So I traded in my winning £5 scratch card for £4 and another scratch card and won £2
so now I have a whole £5 extra to add to my savings pot (everybody go Wooooo).
Also got a nice and slightly disappointing surprise this morning, I have a new CEO at work and our accountants have accidentally paid me his salary as well as my own :rotfl: shame I have to give it back but i looked at my bank account this morning any went
Got a ladies night tonight so I get to have some free paella, think I will take a box of choccies with me and some alcoholic wine mixer that I bought at the food festival.
I also have to get a hair cut, I bought a Groupon but it runs out tomorrow I've been busy and totally forgot about it.:o hopefully they will have space for me.Sealed Pot 7 (No. 296 )

Well I have my haircut booked for Tuesday
I could do with some looking after.
I found 20 pence in road kill so that's gone into the found money piggy.
I've finally cracked and accepted that I have to move out of my current house. It should be really easy to clean and relax in but my house mate and I are totally lifestyle incompatible. Going to make a little list of annoying things in here because at the moment I'm heading for a stress migraine as I just can't calm down.
1. He sleeps all the time - e.g. yesterday I wanted to clean the house got home at 3 pm and he was asleep on the sofa.
2. He sleeps in the communal space
3. he never deals with the cat hair
4. he always gets up after me and never deals with the cat sick (this is his cat)
5. on the occasions I have left him to deal with things like cat sick he lay on the sofa for an hour after finding it then went to bed.
6. he tells me if things aren't working for me to sort them out like he's incapable.
7. he's in the house basically all the time and seems to think I should keep him company
8. Does not wash up with any kind of frequency
9. covers all available surfaces in stuff (notwithstanding that he has the bigger room with all the inbuilt storage and still has most of the remaining space in the house for his stuff)
10. is really negative.
I just find it really hard to be active and organised when i'm constantly being frustrated about cleaning and washing and cooking. I could just carry on regardless but I wasn't brought up to be inconsiderate enough to just say screw you i'm doing this.
Rant over going to answer some more emails.Sealed Pot 7 (No. 296 )

Morning Folks

Had a little spendy moment yesterday as i sent my parents some flowers for their 38th wedding anniversary on Friday. I also sent them a couple of Babbage Bears as its difficult to buy things for people who have accumulated a lifetimes worth of stuff.
I've found some new diet advice that i'm actually finding really easy to stick to (no counting/measuring things i hate that). Its as follows:
1. Eat breakfast every day (preferably porridge or protein)
2. No more than 2 pieces of fruit a day and no fruit juice (too much sugar)
3. Drink at least 4 liters of water a day
4. No carbs after 1pm
5. Limit hot drinks to green tea or black coffee.
Now i'm not that strict, i have 3 cups of tea a day (2 at breakfast and one at lunch), i might not make 4 liters of water but i have lots of herbal tea and minimal carbs at dinner (e.g. a wrap with my fajita mix) but it seems to be working very well for me so we shall see how i progress i need to measure myself tonight as i use measurements rather than weight.:)
Also got a £2.68 brand match coupon from SB's so yay, need to plan a food shop.Sealed Pot 7 (No. 296 )

Sooooooo.......
I disappeared
sorry, however my crazy working binge in my job paid off as i got a £8000 pay rise and a 20% bonus:eek:
Never expected that, i was expecting to go up a couple of grand.
So now i am back and more set than ever on super saving and getting a really good bank of cash behind me for a house deposit. I thought i'd keep the challenges i join this year a bit lower to give me a better chance of keeping up with them.
Its been a bit of a dubious start, i had a haircut, serviced my bike and caved and bought new towels but i'm confident that i can get a handle on this as we toddle along into the year
