Debtfreewannabe321 Thanks :) I will have a look about and see what I can find for Cambridgeshire.

Well went to games night at a friends house last night so that was fun, spent the princely sum of £5.50 on a decent bottle of wine and he provided the pizza. nom nom nom

Also found 5p to add to my road kill pot and put £2 in my 52 weeks savings jar.

Can't believe its Friday again already where does my life go?

    Hi Summertea
    Have subscribed :)

I agree September for me is time for a new start as well. Have been very disorganised this summer due to a member of the family being very ill. So I am heading for a city break over the weekend which is greatly needed and as soon as school starts list will be made what has to be done.

House a bit of a mess due to not being home much and only the basics being done so will def be starting a declutter for sure.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your night out.

Is it still the weekend? blimey i've been a busy rabbit today

Bay of E sales posted? Check!
    3k Run? Check!
Helped a friend move house? Check!
Made beef and red wine stew? Check!
    Bought food for BBQ? Check!

Now just need to add caffeine to myself so i have the energy to cycle to the BBQ and we're all good :)

Found a large outcrop of nice looking blackberries on the way home to so i will go pick some tomorrow and make some jam or some crumble. Also could do with loading up a few more email sales though i will try the better stuff on the local face book pages. I need to start making my christmas cards as well and go for a swim tomorrow.

I only need to take mental naps right?

  • I was intending to be a whirlwind of busy today but ended up being more like a slight breeze.

I have loaded up my 5 items onto E**y, its not making me a lot of money at the moment but i think its important to keep going. Really what i want now is the space that is currently being occupied by the items to go on E**y. If i don't keep trickling along i will eventually lose control and take everything to the charity shop.

I worked out my expenses from work today (i've been buying tea and milk etc. as we don't yet have a petty cash system) and its £44  that is over 4 months but it will be a nice injection of cash when it comes back. Its funny how little spends can add up like that, makes me feel more positive about saving small amounts.

I painted up another jar today, not sure what i'm going to keep in it yet but i do like making things:)

  • Really pi**ed off this morning, I went to my local art cinema to do the monthly film quiz with my team and ended up having to split off into a second team despite the fact that I have gone with the same people since the quiz started and the extra people had come for the first time

    Its my team!!

Then to top that off this morning I had to clear up cat sick for the third time in 4 days. Its not my cat but my house mate gets up minutes before he has to leave for work so never encounters it and never deals with it. Its less like having a house mate and more like having a fat lazy child that skanks around the place all day gaming on its x box.

Just really really irked at the moment

Hey Sweetpea26, I'm calmer now, its difficult I moved into the house when he was already living there. He's actually a friend of mine and I like him as a person but we are very very different mentally. If there is stuff that needs doing/picking up/throwing out I feel the need to sort it out before I can settle and relax. He prioritises whatever he wants to do and not what needs doing.

I don't have a very high tolerance for mess in communal house areas though my bedroom is usually a mess (mostly because its full of boxes of stuff for E**y :))

His last house mate apparently never cleaned so when I moved in he either did more tidying or the house got less dirty as he did not have the cat shedding fur everywhere. Its probably a bit of both.

I think what annoys me most is that he is in the house pretty much 4-5 nights a week from 5 pm when he gets in from work and still when he goes to bed his dirty dinner plate is on the table, there are splashes of food on the worktop and the post is still on the mat. It would take 5 minutes to sort out. So I come in to a dirty house and I get up before him to the same dirty house, its a lack of consideration.

I thought about moving but I'm having real trouble finding unfurnished double rooms as I'd want to keep my furniture. He is slowly responding to a rota system, maybe I will give it until after xmas, then reassess, I'd rather not have to pay out £300 odd to move if I don't have to and there are no guarantees that I would get on better with new house mates, I've always been the tidiest person in all my shared houses :o

In better news got 2 MS today and hoping to get a swim in

  • Wow lost some time there,

    Speed recap time:

Have been MSing, made about £40 so not bad
Went to Ludlow Food Festival and bought a load of xmas presents :) nice handmade things as well so will be very different.
Caught snuffly germs which I am now incubating to my distress
Decided its tiem to stop trying to sell summery stuff on E**y - I have missed the window for that this year time to flog the winter kit and be super determined to ditch all the summer paraphernalia next year.

Got to go to town in a bit then will try to update sigs and stuff later

Snuffle snuffle snuffle (it helps to go snuffle I think of myself as a hedgehog :)

  • Still feeling the effects of germs today but looking forward to being paid on Wednesday.

Its a shame most of my cash is already allocated, it takes some of the happy out of being paid.

Not much planned for today I've been painting jars to put little presents in so I might do a little more of that. Then I just need to find the little presents to go inside them :)
