Help please - VW Polo '02 - ECU

Afternoon wise motoring MSE folks.

How easy is to get a reconditioned ECU?

I know nothing whatsoever about them.

It's £800 for a new one - eeek!

Hi,

Assuming your ECU has been tested and is definitely at fault, give these people a shout:

They'll rebuild your own ECU, or supply a recon unit. If they can't help with your problem they may be able to point you towards someone who can.

own ECU is better to avoid coding problems with Keys etc

You really need it properly diagnosed before throwing cash at it as a wiring, damp or timing fault can get you condemning perfectly good ecus. If it is the ecu, I always use bba reman.
