Hi
I am sorry if this subject as been brought up elsewhere.
I travel to the states twice a year and done for many years. I want to make people aware of this charge that is being made this year, I did-not use my card a lot this year but when I did, my card, a master card with Lloyds TSB was charged a non-sterling transaction fee £45 for one transaction and almost £300 for all time that I was over there. Do all banks / cards make this charge?

It's always been there. They're just more explicit about it now.
Did you really spend £10k while you were there?

The only change is that the charge is now shown explicitly in the statement. In the past it used to be hidden in the exchange rate.I travel to the states twice a year and done for many years. I want to make people aware of this charge that is being made this year,
I think the only way to get charged £45 is to either withdraw £750ish or to spend £1500ish.I did-not use my card a lot this year but when I did, my card, a master card with Lloyds TSB was charged a non-sterling transaction fee £45 for one transaction
