PPI Offer - Can they offset it against another loan

Options
Hello,

I'm looking for some guidance/information.

I've recently received an offer from RBS for misselling PPI in loan many many years go. I have accepted their offer so hope to receive the amount with 28 days as suggested.

My question is, I still bank with RBS and have another loan which I am up to date on and never miss a payment, however can they use the money offered to pay off part of my current loan without my agreement?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

If the other loan has never defaulted and you are up to date on payments, you have nothing to worry about, the money will go to you.
    Competition wins:
    2010 - approx £450. 2011 - approx £800. 2012 - approx £300. 2013 - nothing so far!
