If any board knows on MSE I think it will be this one, even though not exactly money saving
My daughter (Year 13 just finished) decided she wanted a year off and so didn't apply for any university places last year.
However having had her results this morning which were better than expected she is rethinking. Can she go through UCAS, or does she have any options for starting this year
Thanks for the advice

I don't know for sure, as it's all rather different to when I applied 35 years ago, but this page
http://www.ucas.com/how-it-all-works/undergraduate/results/if-you-have-no-offers
seems to suggest that you can go through Clearing if you have no offers. However, I think an application from scratch would be needed, unlike for other Clearing applicants who will already be in the system, so time may be of the essence to make sure the application can be made before all the courses have gone.0 -
Does she have a course and uni in mind? Now would be the time to ring up and find out from them directly.
However, student finance will be a pain to sort out.0 -
She can apply right now if the university has spaces on the course and is accepting applications via clearing.
Phone them ASAP and they'll guide you on what to do.
I got into university through clearing late in August a few years. The only problem I had was student finance was a little late.0 -

It's possible to apply through Clearing directly to the university and not via UCAS - she'll need a form called an RPA. Not all unis will offer this but many will, especially if they have a lot of placesMurphy's No More Pies Club #209
