Making a website/Blog

I want to make a website or blog type thing for myself. I dont want a myspace page as i dont really like it. If anyone could tell me where and how to set up my own website or blog (i think blog would probably be better) I wouldnt really want to pay for this as it wouldnt be something i needed just something ive wanted to do for a while and thought it would be fun.

    There are lots of blogger type places out there!!
    I use Blogger and find them very easy to use :)
