Brach was in East London. I think the fact that I complained to head office about the treatment I received from the branch may have helped, also I went BR before any defaults or missed payments showed up on my credit file. CCCS advised me to cancel my loan payments and cc payments and use the money for BR and to do it sooner rather than later as I was very distressed over my situation. Still waiting for that high but I think it is because I am being very hard on myself for letting my finances get this bad before bringing my head out of the sand. Got OR phone interview on Tuesday really dreading that as I have nothing to show for my debt. My OH opened an account with Co Op and that took over a week, this was not a cash minder account but a normal current account. Suggest if you are planning opening a Co Op account do it in branch because if you do it online you have to wait for forms to be sent to you and you still have to visit a branch with your ID to be copied and sent back to them before they open your account.
Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. BSC No 88

I opened a Barclays basic account 10 days before BR and declared it on my SoA. I didn't want to open it post BR because at the time I anticipated more difficulties doing it that way (who knows?) but anyway the OR said they would ask the bank not to freeze that account and they didn't.

Oh crikey...didn't intend to confuse you. :D That's the thing about BR, some areas are grey and it's difficult deciding what to do for the best. Either way should be OK...you'll just have to trust yourself. ;)
