Hi guys, our electric shower has started to leak at the bottom of the unit and obviously cutting the power. I took the cover off to see where the source was and it looks like it is coming out of the base of number 9 in the image below:

Its a Triton t55i unit.
What is number 9? Can I replace it myself if it is the cause of the leak (probability?) And if so, what do I do

Water and Electric don't mix, please do not use until sorted, a small leak can get more serious quickly. There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times

Hi mate, we're not using it
As soon as we turn the dial the power trips so it's impossible to use but like you say, not a good idea too.
Just need to know how easy it is to fix.0 -
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Electric and water do mix very well my advice is buy a new shower, or better yet have one fitted it will have a guarantee manufacturer or other wise. Replacing a part will only guarantee the part.
I see this a lot where scale builds up and the plastic gets brittle under the extra heat or seals blow with the pressure0 -
