Mk2 focus cig lighter / sat nav

Cig lighter not charging sat nav all of a sudden. Will check if its sat nav cable or car fuse. If its neither is it easy to fix / replace cig lighter? Where would the fuse be too?

If it is the fuse, and it was when my cigarette lighter outlet stopped working, the fuse compartment is located up under the glove box. There are two plastic twist nuts to undo and the panel drops down.

Does the lighter work? Not the bulb/light but the actual lighter.

If it does check the plug for a fuse.

Its not the actual sat nav as that charges on my laptop

Apols for being stupid but I'm not a smoker & the lighter is just a tunnel with a plastic cap instead of the threaded cap that used to heat up - so how do I check it works?

I removed the 20a fuse last night anyway but will only buy another if I can check if the lighter works

Fuse doesn't look burnt out looks a little dark towards the encasing

Might of course be the cable that inserts into the lighter

There is a fuse in the lighter plug on the satnav lead.

The end unscrews and there is a glass fuse in there.
