We've just had an offer accepted on a property but not sure what to do next. We are first time buyers and have approval for a mortgage. Lender has posted us a welcome pack but we need to send off copies of our payslips etc to prove our income/expenditure.
We have a conveyancing quote but not sure what our next move is? Should we send off documentation back to the lender and wait for them to confirm our mortgage is done or do we instruct the conveyancers before that? Or do we ask the mortgage lender to carry out the survey first?
Thanks

Is the vendor proceedable? It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

He said he would move into a house he rents if our deal went through.0

Get a good solicitor instructed straight away. Try and get recommendations if you can. The cheapest quote will often not give you the best service...
The conveyancing and the mortgage are two separate processes that happen at the same time. Don't wait around for anything, as you will want to get things like searches paid for early on.
The estate agent should help you out here. Don't be afraid to ask them anything - they may be working for the vendor but their job is to make things run as smoothly as possible.0 -
So we can instruct the solicitor before we get confirmation of the mortgage in writing?0

your best bet is to open an account with a solicitor ,take in any ID and deposit , if requested, and ask them not to start anything until further instruction from you , tell them you are awaiting mortgage confirmation and survey results.
you might end up paying solicitors fee's and search fee's if they commence before you have had your mortgage offer, and this will not be refundable if for any reason the sale falls through
some solicitors have a no sale no fee policy but I expect these wait until you have definitely got a mortgage offer and survey done0
