£9.99 MOT @ The Car Shop Norwich

Amazing offer £9.99 for an MOT, just had my 3 year old car went straight through no advisory and they didn't even try to sell me a car which I was quite surprised.
I asked when the offer expired which they replied that they had no notice of it expiring but expect by the end of the year.
I suspect the car shop in similar places are doing this offer but can't confirm.

But you are now on their database forever muhahaha!
Just kidding, sounds a good deal, I think they will probably try and sell you a car at some point though. And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0 -
expect reminder notice of impending next MOT and promotion mails.0

Even if it is a data collection exercise, at £10 you can cope with some advertisements.
Personally i'd never take up an offer like this, but credit to the garage that they didn't in fact use it as an opportunity to fleece you.0 -
Probably couldn't find anything wrong with your car to fleece you with.
Now if someone went in with a 10 year old car...0 -
For £10, I can cope with a bit of marketing.
I may well go for a speculative punt if I'm ever passing one of their branches within a few months of my MoT date.0 -
as others have said.0

I think they probably would try sell you a car if your car failed its MOT, mine passed with no advisories. My girlfriend has booked her car in for next January on the special offer she paid in advance.
They did not even take my address all they had from me was my car and my mobile phone number.0 -
Cheap MoT = fail on lots of things that pass with a full-price MoT elsewhere in my experience.0
-
I'm not a fan of these 'loss-leading' MOTs, but if you have an older car with a short MOT that you are considering scrapping, then £10 is worth a punt just for the garages time to look it over and you never know it might pass.0
