Preparing floor surface for Vinyl

Hi All,
I'm looking to put vinyl down in our kitchen. Currently there are some poorly laid tiles so I know it will need to be made good before we lay the vinyl.
I've seen some people mention latex flooring to go on top of ceramic tiles. Can anyone tell me if that is correct and if so what specific product I need and where I can get it?
Many Thanks

You can get various floor screeds from Wickes or any flooring supplier. If you haven't done this job before try not to mix it too stiff as it will level itself if you have the mix right. Remove kick strips from units if they are already installed and let the screed run slightly under. This also goes for any non-built in appliances.Ensure you have enough clearance after screeding and laying vinyl to re-instate them, beware, vinyl tears easily so ensure washing machine, etc. has no sharp edges/wheels.I put machine on a piece of carpet the pull the carpet out.Ensure you don't have any trowel marks/edges as every little crease will show through.
