Audi free servicing with finance - settle immediately and keep servicing?

Hi,
I bought an approved Audi and was told you get 2 years free servicing when you take out finance.
They suggested I could pay the finance off early, but should make a few monthly payments first to keep the free servicing.
There is of course nothing like this in the small print.

I wondered if anyone out there knows whether I could keep the servicing and pay it off straight away. Or even, pay off the finance in the first 14 days and not have to pay set-up and settlement fees, yet still keep the servicing.

I had a look at a forum or 2 which suggested this was possible, but am hoping someone knows a bit more about it...

Thanks
Friendly greeting!

Sounds a lot of hassle to get 1 maybe 2 services included.

If the servicing is subject to taking out finance and you subsequently cancel the finance - I cannot see you keeping the freebie offered as part of the finance package!

Can't you just have them include the servicing anyway? Would they really turn down the deal over what amounts to a few hundred quid retail value, problem about £70 actual cost to them
  • In case anyone finds this thread and wonders... I did settle the finance after a month and kept the free servicing. Will work out cheaper than paying for the services separately.
Perhaps someone in a less needy position could haggle it into the price, but this worked for me.
    Friendly greeting!
