Microsoft realeased Windows XP SP2 ages ago. Since then there has been many updates released which we download via the internet.
Is there a difference between a WinXP SP2 disc from last year and a WinXP SP2 disc from say last month? In other words, will last months CD contain all the updates released during the last year or will you still have to download them all again?
thx

The latest SP2 disc contains all previous fixes but not the most recent downloads say for the last year.0

So I guess it depends on where you buy the disc as to how up-to-date the verson is. I can't see retailers buying a batch of xp discs every month, especially since the release of vista. Unless Microsoft operate some form of return policy on cd's of a certain age?0

The actual SP2 disc is quite old now and not very upto date as MS cant be bothered or waste time on printing off new CDs, what you can do though is download updates and burn them to CD and make your own upto date SP2 CD that has every update on, until new upodates arrive that is.
Oh yeah dont forget you can slipstream SP2 into XP.
