Corvental D (theophylline)

My dog has been prescribed Corvental D (theophylline) for bronchitis/respiration problems. 2 x 200mg sustained release capsules per 24 hrs. But when I checked, it was way over the recommended amount for her bodyweight (16.7 kilos). The advice is not to exceed 20mg per kilo of bodyweight. 
Anyway I tried just one and she was like a dog on speed!
Will try again with just one and if she is so hyper again will contact the vet.
Just wondered if anyone else had tried this drug?
