    Morning All,

TTFTM - hope meeting goes well for you.
Redruby - BIG HUGS for all of you, this will be a very long and difficult day.

GS was at our house yesterday morning when I went to work. I got a text from my wife after I had left to say Alex was talking to Miffy (bear) and said "Miffy that's my Grandad and I love my Grandad." Brought a tear to my eye.

Have a good day everyone

    Oh bless the little man!

    Morning all,

I was star gazing last night. Looking for shooting stars to be exact. I waited until gone 1am but couldn't hold up any longer. I didn't see many but i'm glad I stayed up all the same. :)

Usual household chores to do today. Half of them are done already.

I need to do a bit of eb*ying too at some point but I keep putting it off.

I'm annoyed with my new neighbours cats. Its costing me a fortune in black refuse sacks as each night the cats come out and shred my rubbish bags leaving me a mess to clean up the next day. I think they are spraying the side of my house where the bin bags are as the smell of cat hit me this morning when I let the dogs out. Its not pleasant I can assure you! At this rate I think I am going to have to go out and buy 3 dustbins to put the bags in but that is a last resort as my local council are in the process of changing over to wheely bins. They haven't made their minds up whether my road is having them yet because of the steps.

Roast pork for dinner tonight. *Sigh* the cats are going to be in heaven. They had the remains of last nights dinner overnight (bolegnese).:mad::mad:

    Redruby, thinking of you today.

    Have a good day all,

  • Hi all.
BF has gone back to work today, so dropped him off this morning, then straight into town, picked up my prescription (I have severe asthma and rhinitis - between the two I feel like i'm always at the chemist even though the doctor doubles everything up on my script!) got a birthday card for my mum, some embroidery thread from John Lewis as a girl at work has ordered 2 bracelets from me, and then stopped at Aldi on the way home. I'm still just discovering the delights of Aldi as one has opened just up the road from us - we have a huge Asda practically next door, but the Aldi isnt much futher away. Already noticing loads of stuff we normally get from Asda is cheaper and better at Aldi - BF loves their own brand Pringles (think they are called Stackers) he says they are much nicer than proper pringles and for 89p you cant be robbed!
Feel so productive this morning already! Going to finish the last little bits of painting in the downstairs toilet then I can put the new toilet seat on. Also want to do some weeding in the garden.
It's my mum's birthday on Friday, but since I have to go back to work, we are bringing her birthday forward to tomorrow - taking her to Nando's for lunch and then a drive down to Tynemouth, over to Walker to pick up the poster frames we have ordered - 7 custom made proper wood frames for huge posters - only £175 and ready within 2 days - absolutely fantastic!
Hope you all have a good day!

    Hi all.

Sunshine in the Land of the Concrete Cows today; shame I don't have enough washing for a WM load!:D I did wash my cerise top that Mr LW bought me from the RSC by hand, as it would dye everything pink if I washed it with anything else.:o

Dumpling I hope you find out one way or another what's become of Fat Cat. Do you need to rename the little boy kitten, or does he have a name that will do for male or female?:o

Redruby I hope the funeral goes as well as can be; never easy, these things, are they?:o

    Luxor fingers crossed for DH.:o

Glitterkitty we “discovered” Ald! When we had to get some emergency food supplies for Mary Dog because she hadn't brought enough for her stay, and I'm a convert!:T We use it quite a bit now, and it's gone on the ever-increasing list of supermarkets we use.:o

We had a missive from a local Estate Agent through the door earlier, asking if we want to sell our bungalow! They say they've sold a similar property in our close, but had three buyers all competing for it, so they have two clients wanting to buy, but nothing to offer them. We shan't respond; Mr LW likes it here, I don't dislike it, and I'm certainly not up to the rigours of househunting and moving. But the point is, the picture on the top of the missive is of the bungalow opposite. I know it's been on the market (I heard it was, and had a nose on Z00pla;)) but if she really is going - well, hurrah!:T She has a pack of 7 or 8 little dogs - Maltese Terriers, Miniature Poodles and such like - that yap at all hours of the day and night. Now, much as I adore dogs, over half a dozen of them going at it iron and tongs at 03:00 in the morning is enough to test anyone's patience! It's not their fault - poor little cusses are bored out of their tiny skulls, as she never takes them out.:( They just seem to constantly be out in the back yard.:( Yapping.:(

Luckily he's called Simba so we don't have to change it.....not that they come when they are called anyway! I have to admit after untangling him from the blind for the fifth time this afternoon he got given a few more choice names :o:rotfl:

Don't know if you remember me telling you we thought Lucy dog had hurt her back.... Well we haven't seen her limping but she sits at the steps waiting to be picked up.

Well I had just finished vacuuming the stairs and went back upstairs to put the laundry away. Pop my head round the corner and I see this little face sitting waiting for me to pick her up to bring upstairs.

    Personally I think she's pulling a fast one.:rotfl:

  • No news at all. Terrible meeting, ill prepared by management and HR and contradicted information sent in our consultancy notification. They admitted they have nothing prepared and only started collective consultation today to fit in with 45 day window for first notices to be given on 30th September. Next meeting approximately 2 weeks time

redruby - I hope the funeral went ok

Judi - Lucy dog is gorgeous :)

    Evening All

TTFTM - Sorry it wasn't a productive meeting, poor show by management and HR when so many will lose out.
RR - Hope today went as well as it could, hugs to both your family and that of the poor chap.
LW - Your OHs 'friend' sounds very dodgy. Maybe you could make your millions by selling the house!!
Judi - Lucy is so cute, how could you say no!

Been back at school for the last 2 days which is a bit of a shock to the system although it was good to catch up with everyone. The children start back tomorrow so it will be a very busy day. In service days can be a waste of time but these 2 are precious as you can get so much done without the children.

Just waiting for a house viewer, the ones on Sunday said they liked it but have more to see. I feel like this house will never get sold. At least it stays clean and tidy!

Dinner will be late as I don't want to have cooking smells about, DD will be eating her hands by the time it's ready - it will be sausages and veg when it eventually gets done.

Went to the blue and yellow shed yesterday to get some storage for school and had tea there, very nice ribs too.

    Take care. XX

ETA - Luxor that's great news! XX
