Refused PPI Reclaim - Last year

I wrote to Lloyds TSB last year in respect to the PPI I was being charged on my credit card for many years because I never recall it being explained to me or signing anything at the time. I received a letter back from them refusing my claim (they weren't able to provide any paperwork with my signature on either) which I didn't agree with but decided there was no point in taking it further and felt that I had lost my case. I understand that I should have taken this up with the Financial Ombudsmen within 6 months of the date of the letter from the bank but wondered if anyone had gone to the FO after 6 months and been successful?

If lloyds decide they wish to apply the 6 month rule then the FOS would need a lot of persuading why it should be overturned. Typically, they state incapacity for the whole period of delay, direct family bereavement or significant new information as reasons.
