Removal of closed Account

I have paid off and requested a Sygma Store Card account to be closed and therefore shown as a closed account on my credit file. I have requested this several times, including in writing from Sygma but they have still not closed this account on my credit file.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get this actioned? It has been going on for a year now and is starting to irritate me.

what does it currently show as on your credit file, and when did the account actually close ?

Have they acknowledge to you directly that its been closed?

I know with Barclays when I paid off and closed an account with them they warned it can take up to 4 months to show as closed on the CRAs if you are unfortunate with the dates etc.

It shows as an active account reporting each month a balance of £0. All they advise repeatedly is that it should be updated within 1 month, and not much else.

I know it isn't a big deal but I would like this to show as closed on my file.
