To be fair you never did quite breakdown what was the split of valid bill & overbilled amounts .

If you choose to pursue it further how much more of your time would that take , another ten hours or so? time out from work for court?? so even if they were forced to pay you double what it was now, it would have taken you that much more effort to get it. so you wouldnt be any better off..

Besides your time taken what other Loss could you accurately demonstrate? Had your credit file been trashed as a result and so prevented you getting a mortgage or the product you were offered was inferior - so you could say its cost me £xxx.

To imply that you want to charge them for your time, does that mean you will declare such 'earnings' from a tax perspective?

I won't lose: EDF have admitted that their processes didn't work, and EOS solutions (debt recovery) have admitted in writing that their staff didn't behave properly on the phone and that their processes didn't work. I would just get less compensation than requested, but wouldn't lose the case.

Given the length it went for, the hours spent, impact on credit rating, and harassment/abuse from EOS solutions, they could probably award £500 to £1,000. However, EDF would most likely pay before this goes to court.

Where do you get that figure from ? Small Claims don't just hand out money willy-nilly, you have to precisely quantify what you are claiming for and what exact losses / expenses you have had. I bet you couldn't prove £500 losses/expenses for your 10 hours effort...
