Yup,

Self promotion is not allowed on MSE Martins rules. There is nothing stopping any one on the comping forum from going into the game over board & bringing them back out onto the comp board for people to enter the competition as long as you are not connected to the site

Yes but they shouldn't be in Go should they? They should be removed from the board ie by reporting not expiring.

It is a good way to up ones thanks though...

yes you are right they should be reported to the team for deletion
if companies realise that they can get around the MSE self promotion rules by posting a comp that is only expired to GO, for someone to copy back on to the main board what is to stop hundreds of them doing it?

been a few that's been done before though where peeps have reposted comps from SP comps that have gone to GO before being deleted

The rule is something of an anathema on the Competitions board anyway since all competitions are essentially self-promotion. We do need a better mechanism whereby competition promoters can comes to us and have their competitions listed on the board, and we can't really blame them for posting themselves, the rules aren't that obvious. I feel we do tend to jump all over them a bit.

Sorry about that everyone. Yes, I thought it was more legit to share the comp where I could instead of only close friends and family seeing it and entering. I was not thinking business in business terms about "self promotion". Thanks for the heads up. :-)
