Primus telephone and broadband & TalkTalk & Plusnet

I left Primus in February 2013 because they failed to send me the modem/router even though I asked them when I was going to get it, as time was getting short on my start date. So they never started to provide the service. I had paid over £121 in advance for line rental and asked for a refund but after over 2 months of excuses from them, I got my refund off my credit card under S75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

Since then Primus have been sending me e-mails claiming I owe them money but when I ask them what for, they do not tell me. They also send me e-mails telling me to log in to my account but my log in details - I had phone only with them before I signed up for both phone & broadband - do not work, because I ceased to be their customer in February 2013!!!

They are very arrogant, difficult and obstructive, just like TalkTalk were a few years ago when they were unable to connect me to broadband, after over 4 hours on the phone with them, because they did not know what the problem was, so I cancelled the direct debit, so they cut my phone off, but they badgered me for payment EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE NOT SUPPLYING EITHER SERVICE!!!! I had to get the Citizens Advice Bureau, who got TalkTalk off my back and I have met other people who had to do the same thing as me i.e. go to CAB to get rid of TalkTalk.

I then went to Plusnet, who were immediately able to identify why I could not be connected to broadband and I found them to be much more competent than TalkTalk. The only thing about Plusnet is that if you go over your allowance, they really hammer you on cost for the extra usage, and the extra cost is disproportionately high. Apart from that, they are pretty good on service and basic package cost.

If you are getting close or going over your limit every month it may worth paying the extra and upgrading to an unlimited package then you don't have to worry about your usage.

In fact you've actually said far too much. I can't believe you've given out your daughters details so thoughtlessly.

Perhaps you should stick her date of birth and mothers maiden name up as well.

Just so we've got all the details....

aside from that all youve done is confirmed to thwebcompany you are a complaining type of person who thinks they should get their way because they post here. try being nice and polite, generally gets people far further than threats of online posts unless you are a celebrity with 1000s of followers

If you are going over the 10GB allowance, than consider upgrading to unlimited.

Then you don't have to worry about extra charges for going over

OP would be quite within their rights to completely ignore any correspondence. That they make any effort whatsoever to point out Primus' mistake is to their credit.
