Ebay auction countdown

When selling an item on Ebay I find that I cannot watch the final countdown of my item, without leaving the listing and coming back. When watching the items of others counting down you can see the timing and the final bids. Am I doing something wrong or is this a function of the system. Often the most entertaining part of the process is watching the final seconds slip away, and the last second bids coming in. I cannot seem to find a refresh button either.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

I found this was only possible if you sign out of your account.

Many thanks for your input. I had not thought of doing it that way. It has answered my question completely.

Yes, I've had to do that too.

It's a bit annoying that you can't watch the countdown on your own auctions while signed in

Yes, same here , I too have to log out to see the countdown ... I must admit, I do rather like watching something sell with a number of watchers and seeing the auction price leap skywards in the last few seconds! :)

...more exciting than watching the experts on BBC's Antiques Road Trip racking up heavy losses at auctions! :o
