Yes- I should have read the policy closer before taking it out
Yes -I should have read the exclusions

But I am left now thinking this travel insurance is not worth the paper it was written on.

Stupidly I thought if you were travelling from the airport to the hotel in your hire car and stopped to find directions you would be covered if someone smashed your hire car windows and stole stuff from the locked boot of your car.

Apparently not - you have left it wilfully unattended!
Similarly if it had been checked in!

Anyone got the number of the financial services regulator?
