Question about Finance Form

SFE have mucked up my sons original application and we now need to apply again. I naively didn't copy the original form - won't make that mistake again - and can't remember what I put down
(I was also dealing with finance for Care Home funding for MIL at the same time and it's all blended into one)
Last year I worked in the NHS and paid into the pension scheme. Am I correct in listing this as a private pension in the Income Deductions section? Is this included as income for the purposes of calculation or do they use the final earnings figure on my P60?
It won't make much difference to the end result, but want to make sure I get it right!
