Just contacted my conveyancing solicitor in Birmingham area who acted for me two years ago and wanted a quote based on the same type of house sale & purchase (1 leasehold property and 1 freehold property) of similar values. We paid £1150 for both purchase and sale 2 yrs ago.
She is quoting £800 more now at £1991 (not including the Stamp Duty) than 2 yrs ago and wondered if anyone could recommend a good conveyancing solicitor online or otherwise if someone found them professional and reasonable.

We used Standley & co based in Knowle, Solihull, a bit cheaper than your solicitor has quoted and our solicitor there was on the ball throughout the process.0
