Thanks, my brother recommended this as a really good deal but I'm not sure if there is any discount codes for Ebuyer or any other deals. Glad that you are pleased with your Laptop.

That prce for any laptop is good but as it is a tosh it is fantastic. the cpu is a little under powered for my personal choice and I would go for a core2duo and people now like to have 1GB of memory but if you want a tosh wih those specs you are talking £500ish.

I did manage to pick one up for a freind about a year ago I think it was a misprice but the company came through for about £430 it was a fantastic deal. I tried to buy another 2 weeks later and the price had gone up to £550.

but for general internet and office work it will be fine.

Depends what your daughter will be using it for. Your certainly going to need to buy more RAM for Vista so that puts the total price closer to £350.

I recently bought the Acer Aspire 5051 from eBuyer. Cost me £290 after using google checkout. Similar kind of spec although has a 2.0Ghz Turion (instead of Intel). May be another one worth considering.

I read quite good reviews for it, I'll have to wait and see what I think. I should come sometime next week.

My Vista test system is using 256MB and runs fine people going on about 1GB is !!!!!!!!. yes it makes things better but you don't NEED 1GB for vista.

My Toshiba has problems with the USB ports.
They seem to cut out after a few minites if transferring large amounts of data.
    Otherwise a very good lappy.
