Hi,
could someone help? I am thinking to claim PPI myself but my husband is adamant that if we do it ourselves the bank will not tell us the correct amount. We are not sure if there is anything to claim so turned to Fast track but they want quite a lot of money. I am pretty sure the bank will have to tell us the correct amount if they owe us anything, won`t they? Thank you

forget asking for the t&cs, send a SAR and £10 to see all the bank have on you.
Why on earth does he think a claims company will tell him the truth if he thinks a bank won't? They are even bigger crooks.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
he thinks they have access to a list some sort... I think it`s !!!!!!!!0

What is SAR?0

A SAR is a subject access request, there is a template on the front page.
It's a request to the organistaion to give you a copy of all of the info they hold on you.
It must be cmplied with, but if they have destroyed records there will be nothing much.
Who are you complaining to and what about?
And companies can only see what's in the public domain, they have no access to any of your financial records nor should they.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
thanks, that`s what I thought. Barclays mostly. Loans, credit cards.0

And does he think that most of the scam companies out there reclaiming PPI, who are well known for making up figures in their phone calls and dont have access to information would tell him the right figure?he thinks they have access to a list some sort... I think it`s !!!!!!!!
Give him a slapInsurance details are not in the public domain. There is no list other than a mugs list or a phone book. The closest some claims companies get is using land registry details (lender is on the record - not the insurer) or having ex financial services staff "provide" them with data unlawfully.
