Hello.
I payed csa for years then became unemployed. (two kids).
Im paying £5 per week on benefits.
I've found a new job and will be signing off benefits today.
Do I need to inform csa or will they contact me?
Will they even know that I'm starting work as I have no contact with carer?
How do I go about setting up a private agreement with children's carer? (mother is dead)
Thanks for any advice.

Why shouldn't you be responsible, why are you asking? Of course you should be contacting either the csa or the carer to agree a private arrangement or are you asking whether you can get away without paying what you should towards your children?0

How long has the case been set up for? If it is on CS2 then they will receive an interface rejection that shows you're no longer on benefits however it's better to be proactive and contact them to let them know.
If you've not actually got any contact details for the carer, you can ask the CSA to pass on your own contact details, it is then down to the carer as to whether or not they get in touch with you.
It might also be worth using the CSA's online calculator to work out how much you'll be paying on your new wage, and set that money aside as it may take a month or so for them to work out your new assessment but it will be back-dated to when your benefit ceased.0 -
inform them, a task will raise on CS2 if and when your benefit claim moves from "live - in payment" to suspended / closed, however these can get delayed, and once you raise the change of circumstances any money you owe will be expected and backdated.
As for setting up a private arrangement, as mentioned by prelude, you can offer your contact information to the carer, but thats up to her whether she accepts to take it.0
