Parking Charge Notice from parkingsolutions 24

I recently recived this PCN after being parked outside a hardware store, that no longer exists, therefore making its customer parking redundant, I was parked there for no more then 10 minutes and returned to find a white parking charge notice on my windscreen wipers. I would upload an image, but alas as a new user I cannot. Any advice on how I should proceed with this charge?, should I ignore or pay up?

    You should do neither.

Wait for the notice to keeper letter and then appeal. It will get rejected and you will have a POPLA code. Come back here and ask for advice on how to make a POPLA appeal once you have the code. While you wait it might be worth reading up on the POPLA Decisions thread to see what type of appeals work at POPLA.

Well, you need to give a few details to get the best advice.

Who is The PPC (Parking Company)

    Date of contravention?

What did the signs say? Were there any at the entrance?

How much do they want before and after "discount"

You can upload a picture to dropload or tinypics then give the link here, missing out the www. or http://

In any event, do nothing till the letter arrives from them, unless you want to take advantage of their bargain offer of only robbing you of some of the money they think they can charge you (aka Discount)

I received the fine on 30/7/13 from Parking Solutions 24 who are part of the BPA.

Where signs are involved I will have to take a quick trip around there to look, I shall get back to you on it ASAP.

They offered a £60 charge if you pay it back in 14 days, whilst it then rises to £100, if not payed "legal action yada yada".

On another note, to avoid the whole worrying about fee's ( going higher, or worse court) I attempted to visits the website that they state on the back of the ticket paymypcn.net, and entered the PCN and car registration, and this came back no dice, I decided to phone the number, got through to an agent there who also couldn't find the fine. Now I start to get suspicious and take a look at their site, and find a payment option similar to how I would shop online, a sort of pick your fine drop box appears.

Cant believe I didn't think about deleting the HTTP part :D I do surprise myself with my own stupidity sometimes

You will have seen the valid decision points on the POPLA Decisions sticky at the head of this forum.

These are the points currently winning and you will see the theme. This is a good example of a detailed appeal http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=62472201&postcount=32

However, you do nothing till you get the Notice to Keeper through the post.

Your case is interesting, though, and may be a bit different. You say the hardware store is closed. It is worth your while getting in touch with your council planning department to see who the landowner really is.

If you can blow them out of the water at an early stage, so much the better. Also if their contract is with a defunct shop that happened to be freehold or even if the shop was the lessees, then there is no loss to a defunct landowner.
