Can anyone offer a ballpark figure on which to base a guess for those of us who haven't a clue about football?

Well there are ten games and I imagine there'll be on average at least two goals per game. Maybe the 20-25 range as a benchmark and then adjust higher or lower depending on if you think it'll be high scoring or not.More GRRR than the average Bear!!0

Over the last 10 seasons, the average number of goals scored in the first round of fixtures was 27 and the most common number of goals in the first round of fixtures was 27 (twice).
However, the number of goals scored in last year's opening round of games was 27 and no two consecutive seasons have had the same amount of goals scored. Also, the 2011-2012 season only had 9 games in the first round of fixtures.0 -
