Accessory Warranty

I have an iphone 5 which is only a few months old, but the headphones stopped working a few days ago. I spoke to o2 (with whom I got the contact with) but they said manufacturer warranty don't cover accessories. Is this right ? I though everything came with a 1 year warranty.

Even if the accessories don't come with a warranty, your contract is with O2, not Apple, and the Sale of Goods Act applies. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
