Some help and advise please,
I work but have a low income, so get LHA and CTB,
my children are in full time education at college, but all have part time jobs at Mcds to get them through college,
I looked into this and read that i didn't need to let benefits know this as they dont work many hours and don't earn a lot juts minimum wage,
Today i go and get a big bill for Council tax, because they have taken their wages into it now..
Is this right ??? or are they thinking they have full time jobs and not in eductation

How old are the children ?
As of April 2013 there is no longer Council Tax Benefit - it has been replaced by Council Tax Support that is determined on a council by council basis, so without knownig the particular council involved I don't think it's going to be possible for any one here to say whether it's right or wrong.0 -

This is the information for the new Council Tax Reduction and a comparison with the old scheme.

It looks as if you now need to pay 20% of your council tax. If that makes sense of your bill, it doesn't have anything to do with your children's earnings.0 -
I already pay 20% £30 now it's jumped to £90 pmDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0
