Asda credit card - missing transaction.

in Credit cards
We applied for a asda credit card, accepted and did a balance transfer of £1500. Set up a dd for £100 a month but they took the whole balance and repaid the card in full, we called them and they refunded us the £1500 and assured us they would set up the new dd for £100 a month. We have been checking the online banking page and it says £0 balance, and no activity on the account since date of opening. Do I call them and be honest or ignore it.

how long did this all happen? It might apper the month afterPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0

Also when a transaction is *normally* put on a credit card it does take a few days to apper...and it has just been the weekend.
By the way of your post, it all sounds fairly recent and I think your jumping your gun abit.
Wait it out if I am correct about time frame first :-)People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
It was about four weeks ago.
When you go in to the history there are no transactions at all.
Think we will just keep putting the money away monthly until something happens, but how long do I give it!?!?;0 -
i would contact them personally. You know you owe them the money so you should ask them what is happening. If you don't it will just be hanging over you for years.0

Legally they have 6 years to chase you for the debt.0

so you did get your £1500 back? if so, i would probably do nothing at all & just see what happens.0

Keep putting money away 'just incase' but don't write it off just yet.
Personally not sure if would ring them, I had a similar situation with around £80 that they refunded me twice, not realising it had already been refunded.
I contacted them because I thought I would rather pay it back then live with the 'what if' they realised and asked for it back and I wouldn't of wanted to spend the money just in case kind of thing.
But for £1500...I might of kept my mouth shut and hoped for the best lolPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Yes, they took the full amount owing and we called them to say no that's wrong it should have £100 by a monthly dd, so they refunded it all to us, I paid £50 to cover the monthly payment, and we first noticed the error when the statement came through saying balance £0, monthly payment required £0. But the odd thing is there are just no transactions, ie the whole amount being taken and then refunded amount or the £50 we paid. Each month we tried to pay, they managed to do it wrong, the first two months we had to pay online as the dd hadn't been set up! If they do contact in a few months shall I just act dumb,, money in a bill account and we never check it??0
