Parking Eye Fine - Radisson Blu Stansted

Hi,
My friend recently got married, and booked a suite at the Radisson Blu Stansted for the night before and night of the wedding.
On the morning of the wedding, 2 cars were used to drop the bridesmaids and the wedding cake off at the hotel. We stopped outside the front of the hotel for a few minutes, then drove round to the car park where another few minutes were spent transferring the cake to an already parked car.
Both owners have received a parking fine from Parking Eye, issued 01/08/13, date of event 27/07/2013, letter received
03/08/2013.
Do we need to pay these fines? Is it worth writing to the hotel to try and get the charges cancelled? A lot of money was paid for the suite they had booked!
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,

It's worth a go at contacting the Hotel, they often have the power to get these tickets quashed which is quick and easy.
I would also appeal to Parking Eye too just in case the hotel play awkward. There is no need to do an in depth appeal at this point as Parking Eye tend to reject them. When they do reject your appeal they will give you a code to use at POPLA, an outside appeals service.
We currently have been having great success at POPLA much to Parking Eyes chagrin. Please read the stickies at the top of the section to get a feel for POPLA appeals.0 -
Of course you should contact the hotel. Ask for the manager or wedding manager. Get them to cancel the charge.
If by any chance that fails - I would be surprised - then an honest appeal to PE enclosing a copy of a wedding invitation that confirms time and place might get a cancellation. They have been known to react responsibly at times unlike smaller ex-clamper PPCs0 -
Have they changed the setup for that area of Stansted airport now? I thought that entry/exit was only possible via ticketed barriers as that is where all the car hire companies have their parking.0

And tell both of your friends they have not received fines, just speculative invoices!0
